The emergency care of traumatic patients requires effective participation of different professionals and specialists, so interprofessional teamwork is considered as the key to improve the quality of patient care. The nurses in a trauma care team need empirical knowledge of teamwork attributes and underpinning features that help or impede the improvement of patient care. This teamwork approach begins at the site of injury and continues at various stages of hospital care.
