Palliative Care

The Palliative Care theory module is an online learning component developed to provide nursing students with essential foundational knowledge in delivering compassionate, holistic care to patients with life-limiting illnesses. This module addresses core areas such as:

• Principles and philosophy of palliative care
• Pain and symptom management
• Psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual support
• Communication skills in end-of-life care
• Ethical and legal aspects of palliative care

Students will engage with interactive e-learning modules, expert video lectures, and real-life case-based scenarios that foster empathy, clinical judgment, and patient-centered thinking. The theoretical grounding provided in this module will prepare students for skill-based practical sessions at the college, enabling them to deliver dignified, respectful, and supportive care to patients and their families in diverse clinical settings.
