Mandatory Module: Skilled Birth Attendant
The Skilled Birth Attendant theory module is an online learning component designed to equip nursing students with foundational knowledge and competencies required to provide safe and effective maternal and newborn care during labor, childbirth, and the immediate postnatal period. This module covers key concepts such as:
- Antenatal assessment and birth preparedness
- Monitoring labor using the partograph
- Conducting normal deliveries and active management of the third stage of labor
- Immediate newborn care and neonatal resuscitation
- Identification and referral of maternal and neonatal complications
