With an aging population, it is critical that nurses are specialized in offering quality healthcare to the aged. This course prepared nurses towards their career choices in relation to working with older adults. The unprecedented global growth in the elderly merits high-quality geriatric nursing care. As the geriatric nursing grows in visibility in developed and developing countries, the demand for nurses specializing in gerictric care is increasing and for nurses who possess a broader worldview of ageing with knowledge of physiological, psychosocial, and cultural issues related to older patients. The objective of this course was to empower nurses with expertise which is essential for caring for the elderly.
