Stroke is a common neurological emergency that requires rapid evaluation and treatment to minimize debilitation. For managing a patient with a stroke, an emergency nurse must know imaging findings, clinical features, anatomy and physiology, and current treatment options for acute ischemic stroke, IPH, and SAH. Also, healthcare practitioners follow algorithms of treatment provided by the American Heart Association.
