Vidyanta Skills Institute has partnered with Punjab Skills Development Mission (PSDM). PSDM – “The main objective of Punjab Skill Development Mission is to enable a large number of youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood.”
In March 2017, Vidyanta Skills Institute in collaboration with PSDM established the Health Skill Development Center at the Amritsar Medical College campus. Vidyanta Skills Institute has set-up training center along with hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
Vidyanta Skills Institute offers various courses, such as General Duty Assistant, Home Health Aide, and Emergency Medical Technician courses. These courses, which are six to nine months in duration, are certified by the Healthcare Sector Skill Council and are offered under various government schemes, such as DDU-GKY, NULM & PMKVY.
We are bridging the gap between the skilled manpower required by the healthcare industry and the unemployed youth by ensuring that the right student chooses the right course according to his/her academic background, aptitude and skill-set.
NSQF Secondary Schools Scheme
The Centrally Sponsored Scheme of Vocationalisation of Secondary Education of Ministry of MHRD, introduced through NSDC and Sector Skill Councils (SSCs) in implementation of NSQF in government schools in all over India. The training conducted in the scheme are based on the National Occupational Standards set by NSDC through its Sector Skill Councils. The scheme also mandates the SSCs to conduct assessments and certification.
Vidyanta Skills Institute is currently working with the State Governments of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana for the implementation of the scheme in their states in healthcare.
Vidyanta Skills Institute is responsible for the appointment of the coordinators, Quality Control of Training, Training of Trainers, Student Assessment and Certification and Industry Interface, Training Delivery including deploying and managing faculty, setting up of labs, organizing Guest Lectures / Industry Visits, Curriculum Development aligned to National Occupational Standards, Development and Printing of Courseware.
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)
Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) is the flagship scheme of the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE). The objective of this Skill Certification Scheme is to enable a large number of Indian youth to take up industry-relevant skill training that will help them in securing a better livelihood. Individuals with prior learning experience or skills will also be assessed and certified under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Under this Scheme, Training and Assessment fees are completely paid by the Government.
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana
The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) announced the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Antyodaya Diwas, on 25th September 2014. DDU-GKY is a part of the National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), tasked with the dual objectives of adding diversity to the incomes of rural poor families and cater to the career aspirations of rural youth.
DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like Make-In-India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns. Over 180 million or 69% of the country’s youth population between the ages of 18 and 34 years, live in rural areas. Of these, the bottom of the pyramid youth from poor families with no or marginal employment number about 55 million.
